Hi everyone! I feel like it has been so long since I have posted. Today I am talking about more designer look-alike pieces centering around the brand Self-Portrait. Self-Portrait is a truly remarkable brand that has many feminine, unique and beautiful pieces. The price tag is a bit hefty as many celebrities enjoy wearing this brand and once you see the dresses you will know why! But do not worry for I have found many look-alike dresses for a fraction of the price. Some of the dresses look exactly the same and others have similar features but are not exact look-alikes. Nevertheless if you’re interested in finding out more, keep reading! [Read more…]
Today I am embracing the last weekend of winter fashion and winter weather (fingers crossed)! This past winter I wore so much faux fur, whether it was scarves, vests or fur-lined coats. Faux fur was probably the staple of my wardrobe this past season.
It looks like we’re finally saying goodbye to winter and hello to spring as temperatures are on the rise in the next few weeks. So, what better way to end winter than one last winter fashion post? Stay tuned for more about upcoming trends for spring and some amazing pieces to be featured in future posts!
Is anyone sad to say goodbye to winter? What’s your favorite season to dress for?
It’s a beautiful day here in Upstate New York with temperatures reaching a high of 63 degrees and it’s only February! This contrasts to the last couple of weeks which were filled with blistering cold days, crazy wind and lots of snow. I am not complaining about an early start to Spring!
All of this sunshine really has me daydreaming of spring so today we are talking spring trends for 2016. The first official day of spring this year is March 20th. It will be here before we know it! This spring I graduate with my Master’s in accounting (I will finally be done with school after 5 years), my cousin gets married at Belhurst castle and I’m taking a few trips to reconnect with my dearest of friends whom I met while we were studying abroad. I am so excited! [Read more…]
Happy Valentine’s Day weekend everyone! It is beyond freezing here in New York! I originally wanted to wear a skirt today when I went to dinner to celebrate but the weather was not permitting. Instead I threw together a quick outfit in my new favorite color combination, nude + blush! I also love nude + blush + white.
Suede has been popular for a few seasons now and it is definitely sticking around through Spring. I first saw suede leggings on Kendall Jenner at the Balmain for H&M after party and have been obsessed ever since. I will list the ones I am wearing below. They are so comfortable, cute and a great price.
I thought that this blush turtleneck was fitting for Valentine’s Day and I have really grown to love every shade of pink! I never used to really like pink but am finding it in my wardrobe now more than ever. This turtleneck has suede elbow patches to match my leggings!
Lastly, this was the perfect occasion to wear my new Kate Spade heels. As soon as I saw them I knew they would be perfect for work and any special occasion or just to dress up a casual outfit. They have a nude patent leather toe with ivory tweed laced with gold and pink. My favorite part of all is the fun, gold glitter heel! I scored them on super sale a few weeks back at Lord & Taylor but, they are now sold out :-(. There are other retailers that still have them in stock so I will provide links below.
The color combination of black & white is the most classic and chic of all. It’s easy to throw together an outfit in this color scheme and it works during any time of the year! I love vests because they can be warmed up with turtlenecks, sweaters, scarves and long sleeves in the winter or just thrown on over a tank top, t-shirt or dress from Spring to Fall.
